Suffolk Community College Application Workshop: October 29, 2025 at East (Deadline 10/24)
New York State Colleges Waiving Application Fees in 2025:
- SUNY - October 20th - November 3rd (Apply to up to 5 campuses for free, including Suffolk Community College!)
- CUNY - November 10 to November 21 (Application waiver for all New York State public and private high schools)
- Independent NYS Colleges and Universities (various dates/campuses)
Course Withdrawal Policy: Students are permitted to withdraw from classes, without penalty, for the first 4 weeks of school. If a student chooses to withdraw after the 4-week window, they will receive a WP (Withdrawn Passing) or a WF (Withdrawn Failing) based on their grades at the time of withdrawal. The last day that students may request to withdraw from class, without penalty, is Monday October 6th, 2025. We will be strictly following these deadlines to maintain appropriate class sizes to continue to offer the wide variety of programs that we do.

The window to apply for Local Scholarships closed on March 20, 2025 @ 11:59 pm. Thank you to all the students for your hard work. A record number of applications were submitted this year! The winners of all Local Scholarships will be announced at Sachem North Senior Scholarship and Awards Night on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Invitations will start being mailed to students in May. - Suffolk Community College Early College Program: Interested in getting a jump start on college coursework?
